Been having a lot of fun with FS lately, digging out stuff and doing stuff I always wanted to do.
Here's one that somehow got put on the back burner every time, but I promised myself... one day.
One day has arrived, it's the FSD Pilatus, a wonderful model.
I rubbed some paint on her (him? it's a truly rugged craft) and got a fair resemblance to Peter Lohr's AI static planes at Mt Cook.
I'll do a photo shoot when time permits, Chris B also has a Moth that'll feature.

I see the Mercer Parachuting Porter, ZK-JMP quite often, it's pretty amazing the performance that thing has. I always think that the nose section forward of the cockpit looks like it was intended for a different plane than the rest of the structure, and then the undercarriage was added when they finished the design and realised they'd forgotten something crucial. tongue.gif Seriously though, it's a very cool plane. Nice repaint too by the way. smile.gif

I fly this machine quite a bit. Would be good to have some repaints of it.

Guys thanks for the encouraging words.
Here are some shots, I've compressed all the textures to DXT3, contrary to FSD's paintkit instructions.
It may be slightly furrier as a result, but 32-bit is way over the top and you actually have to wait for the textures to load!

In company with Warwick Carter's excellent Kiwi Tiger, beautifully painted by Chris Brisland.

The Porter can get into the tightest spots imaginable. This landing is done with prop in reverse pitch to hold it against the downhill slide...

Yeah too right. Fantastic thing to fly though.

I have decided to keep this as a

NZFF EXCLUSIVE REPAINT

If anyone has the FSD Porter and wants the paint I can email it, the zipfile is about 4.5MB

Thanks Ian, it's not totally accurate but I also think it's prettier than the original (ze artiste y'see? Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it))
The FS9 model when released was FSX standard+ VC is astonishing even now
Best description I've heard of it yet...fixed wing helicopter.

Is somebody going to do a repaint of JMP? I only have the wheeled version of this.
