Great freeware model, I love the VC with it too.

Jon Murchison painted a 'Sea Bee Air' (defunct Auckland seaplane airline) livery for this model- not sure if it is still hosted online anywhere but I don't mind sending you through the textures if you wish.

Where is Catalina Island by the way...?

Ah yes I know the one your talking about I think its still up on flightsim (dont know about avsim tho)

Also Catalina island is located just off the coast of Long Beach California, The airline has sezied operations. There is a real cool site with heaps of info and tons of pics well worth a look, they operated cargo and pasenger flights with the Goose to and from Avalon Harbor and Peably beach...

Isn't this a little treasure......great being able to land on water and I just love the water effects...even inside the cabin!
Is the sound realistic? I always thought that the Goose was a little raspier than that at the higher power settings.
I notice on playback in chase view that when landing or taking off on water that mostly it appears in the water yet at other times it briefly shows it a few hundred feet in the air and then back down in the water again.
great fun all the same. Wouldn't flying one of these around be the ultimate summertime job?
