From above you can see how much narrower the fuselage is than a DC-3. Its basically a box shape rather than a cylinder.
For the DC-3 Douglas would round out the fuselage, up engine power, add more wingspan and make many other mods,
ending up with an almost completely new aircraft

This is what happens if you forget to throttle back after climb-out. Where's that fire extinguisher?
The flight notes recommend no more than a few minutes at full throttle, or:"Âthe engines WILL fail"Â..

Looking forward from the passenger cabin door

And back from the flight deck

Meant to be flown from the VC, but the 2D panel is nice too. You'll be needing that prop feather...

American Airlines cabin. Loo door opens, should you feel the need. The KLM and TWA cabins look pretty good too,
but you don't get Life magazine

I haven't had it long enough to comment much on the flight characteristics, but it has a short take-off run, almost behaves like
a STOL aircraft with the flaps engaged. Fun! If you're interested in the technical differences between the DC-2 and the DC-3
this article is a great read: http://www.cnac.org/aircraft02.htm
