OK, the model is from Robert Bruce via Avsim, but i discovered this interesting paintscheme while browsing and just had to "do" it

Oh yes - FSX only... dds textures, self shadowing, bumpmaps, the lot

And then you might care to keep an eye out for this pretty gal too - Nimble as anything

No - not my paint for the DR1, but both models posted here by way of a heads up for you guys.

Info on the DR1: Visit the sim outhouse forums for more info

Thanks for the HU Chris - both models look pretty good. I have the Bristol Fighter permanently on my hard drive (FS9 though). A RNZAF scheme of the Brisfit would be nice!

Cant find a picture of the original Brisfits in a RNZAF scheme but I doubt there is one in colour anyway. There are two replicas (I think one of them is an orginal actually) flying in NZ as pictured here and here. I think the darker scheme is very similar to one already on the Robert Bruce a/c ?

I have 4 B/W photos of the last 2 delieved J-type 7121/7122 - 7120 was a dual trainer , further research points to the aircraft in the grey and silver dope as with the display aircraft the fist link to Phillips Treweek,s page . the last and only photo is of first batch in the 6857 series . I could send or just post them here if required , another visit to Wigram possibly .

Thanks for the HU Naki! So D 8084 Flew at "Wings over Wairapea"?

There's one NZ Paint I have done for you already... Actually, I found out from Rob Bruce, that the D8084 paint that I did was LAETR than his and not before, as I mistakenly put in my readme. Apparently D8084 "S" was based on Sicily. Perhaps hence S for Sicily?

Thanks too for the colour photos - I can recogise now, that it isn't a yellow paint stripe around the nose - it's a (brass?) metal ring - I can do metallic for the next repaint. Light grey/silver dope canvas is OK, darker grey painted metal cowlings for the front. Okiedokie - there's a paint upcoming...

Feel free to post here Ian - or chris at brisland dot aero (yes - I have gone aero)
