Done some more experimenting with the settings on the graphics card (Nvidia 8600Gt) and got some improvements, so had a fly around Wellington to see the changes. Got a few nice screenshots as well, so thought that I would share them.......comments appreciated as always!!!

slowly getting the settings adjusted!!

Smooth landings.

Looks very nice, are you running FSX with SP2 or without? :)

FSX with SP1 installed. Not installing SP2 until I see more feedback about it. Currently using the default a/c but I have installed the Carenado C206. 20m Mesh and RealNZ Wellington in the photos and screenshots using Screenhunter as well.

Smooth landings!!

Don't get too excited!!! Even with a new high spec laptop, it still struggles with FSX and I have had to put the settings well back to get frame rates of around 12-14fps. I have even got the autogen on medium which loses out on a lot of FSX features (which will not show unless the autogen is set to high). I am wondering how well the computer will cope when I start to add in add-ons and detailed clouds/textures. Don't throw out your FS9 yet!!

smooth landings.

I have this system:

Intel core 2 duo E6740 (2.66GHZ)
nVidia 512mb 8600 GT
320GB HDD
2GB RAM

Interesting look at your performance compared to mine.
