I've been seeing lots of screenies of FlyTampa's St Maarten filling various forums recently, so I thought I'd jump on the band wagon and fly a heavy airliner into my favorite Non-NZ addon for a change.

Today's route was American Airlines flight 687, from Miami Florida (MIA) to Princess Juliana, St Maarten (SXM)- with a flying time of approximately three hours. The assigned aircraft was the Boeing 757-200, model by Project Opensky, with a 40% fuel load for this journey.

Below are 16 shots, selected from the 100 or so printscreens I took- 1.42mb in file size.

Departing a cloudy Miami:

Cruising over the Bahamas:

Descent into the Caribbean:

Welcome to Maho Beach, plane spotters paradise!

Here's the money shot:

And finally at our arrival airport:

Righteho, time to get some sleep. Hope you enjoyed browsing.

Very nice Andrew! One of the more popular routes for flight simmers. AA use the 757 on that route every day :) Can't say I'd mind being a 757 Captain for AA though, what a hard life it must be

Yep, I went to the AA website and found out the route information before flying- you can see the AI counterpart which left a few minutes behind me at MIA overtaking my 757 in shot 4. I followed it in on appoach and parked up next to it as you can see in the very last picture!

Cheers- I didn't get to sleep untill 9am the previous day, so after sleeping at weird times I was wide awake all night!

You probably know the site already Andrew, but for flights in the USA, you can save some time by going to Flightaware:

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL687

http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/AAL

http://flightaware.com/live/airport/TNCM

The last link might give you other ideas of who flies in and out of there :)

Now you just need AES by Aerosoft to get moving jetways, fuel trucks, cargotrucks and catering trucks. Almost a must-have.

I haven't heard too much about this addon, and the Simmarket page about the 'credits' is confusing.. could you explain the basics of what the package consists off and how it works?

Basically Andrew

You get the Main Packae, and then buy credits. A Pack of Credits will consist of different ones for different airports. So you may be able to use Fly Tampa KSFO 5 times, and Fly Tampa TNCM 3 times. The only thing against this is yes, you have to keep buying credits every time you run out and want to use the program. Big Scam IMHO

So every 3 times I land at the airport and use the AES addon, I need to go purchase more 'credits' before I can see the ground vehicles again?

Another thing I don't get is how are solid 3D jetways that are built into the scenery moved to fit your aircraft?

No, I think you unlock the whole airport (use it as many times as you want, but you have to buy creidts to unlock different "supported" airports)
