I just had to post this. I was hanging around Wellington this evening, using my favourite key sequence (CTRL + W, to cycle through the different AI traffic). Imagine my surprise when I saw this!

You can tell it's not me, since the text at the top is orange and not red. Undercarriage down, and check out the airspeed! The pilot was on descent into Wellington.

This was about a good 100m away from the NZAA runway

Sounds like you guys need to update your AI models, mine never fail to follow the glideslope, grease the landing, deploy all movable surfaces including reverse thrust - and never hog the runway.

Oh. That must be payware AI right? Looks terrible compare to the freeware AI.

I'll post a single picture where you can compare the payware and freeware AI:

The one on the top is the MyTraffic B777 the lower is the freeware FSPainter (which is now outdated).

Now for tonight's ridiculous AI shot:

Seen in the skies near Wellington. This is either some really high-tech new aircraft that Boeing have kept very hush hush, or it's two aircraft doing something very 'adult'. No matter where I viewed it from, it was impossible to see the front of the AWK 737. The two really were actually stuck together for a time.

You be the judge.

Most of the shots here can be explained quite easy. But the last one is a tough one.

F.x. greaneyr's last shot with the 2 B733's. It's very simple. He has the same flightplan twice.

And the first shot. Easy to tackle. It's a horrible FDE for the aeroplane together with the ATC that is too late to give a descent.

When you know what's what, it's quite logical - you figure it out

Hehe. It's a long time since I saw a "bad" AI performance. Most of the time they are just cruising in FL350 with many errors. And I don't have any double flightplans even though I have more then 600 airlines installed (all installed manually).

I can some with some AI-shots one day.

Haha ahh the good ol' FS9 AI, brilliant hehe. If you really want to see the AI do some weird s...., make sure you have a really good AI file (Like most airlines included) then fly into Denver INtl at about 5.00pm on a week night. Makes for some interesting vectors and landings.

Btw I had a plane crash at Auckland the other day in FSX but forgot to capture it, was rather real, the runway was shutdown to traffic hehe

Both my AI flight models and flight plans come courtesy of VOZ with no modification whatsoever, other than swapping the Saabs with Q300s.

Any VOZ users will be able to experience the same crazy behaviour too, if they so desire.

Untill now, I've had no images to contribute to this thread. However, I just snapped this ridiculous AI shot on an early morning arrival to Tauranga City Airport:

Is it the M$ ATC or the AFCAD to blame?

Probably an AFCAD issue, there are 2 hold short nodes in close proximity which can sometimes cause this.
Change the first one to an ordinary node and see what happens.

That's like one of those 'impossible triangle' optical illusions! The eyes just can't make sense of it.
