One of our members, victor_alpha_charlie has close connections with the New Zealand real world airline, Vincent Aviation, who are sponsoring the NZFF Screenshot Competition this month. Through this, we are able to offer the biggest and best prize package ever seen on this website, return flights to the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow, plus paid airshow entry! Worth a total value of $750!

The flight will be on March the 22nd from Wellington International airport, and the fortunate winner will receive a flight on the Vincent Aviation Beech 1900 or Dash 8 aircraft, over the Southern Alps mountain ranges to the biggest airshow in the Southern Hemisphere!

I know I say this every month, but THAT REALLY IS AN INCENTIVE TO ENTER!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a second attempt at the 21st monthly Screenshot Competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF who have joined before December 31st 2007*

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high res version saved on your computer as the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert it into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your should suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that what positioning your aircraft and camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from February 7th 2008 to March 7th 2008, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by pressing the edit button, to the top right of your post. Please don't make new posts saying you have edited your original post as this makes the thread cluttered).

5) On March 7th, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the $750 prize package!

6) Minimal editing is allowed, (brighten/contrast, sharpening, blurring etc, no importation of other images allowed!) if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) This month's theme is 'Vincent Aviation', where your screenshot must display a link with real world airline sponsoring this competition. There are plenty of suitable freeware and payware aircraft available for download (see here) for this theme- be creative!

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best man win!

*Seeing as we are giving away such an expensive prize, we only wish older trusted members to have the opportunity to win it. Sorry new members!

How many days is the show on for? 1? If over more than 1 day you'd need acomm. Is there room for 1 more in the plane? If they paid for the'ye own ticket? like a friend?

There'd be no need would there (would you be going on the flight? - also is it just that one person or are there other people?)

Is just that one winner of the comp flying or is it an actual charted flight with other passengers (as I'm assuming)

It is an actual chartered flight. VA will probably be sending the Dash 8 and 1 or 2 1900's down.

Show is 3 days (Friday- practice, Saturday- show, Sunday- show but not as busy). Flight will leave early on Saturday morning and return Saturday evening. There is room for more on the plane, as long as they book soon. As far as I know tickets are $760 (Flights plus show entry) and we should fill at least 1 1900 and 1 Dash at that price.

The stripes on the side go right along, they don't drop off, the bottom stripe is grey not green (every VA paint I have seen has got this wrong but no biggie) and the winglets/top of the tail aren't blue.
See here

Otherwise it's awesome!
