MiG15 Warbird over Wanaka.

Had some high speed 'flights' around Wanaka in the MiG15, and with the new graphics card, no problem for high speed, low level flight. I was lucky to get to try a MiG15 a few years back, and it is an extremely unstable aircraft to fly. Even straight and level flight takes concentration, and the landing speed is very critical. Must adjust the configuration on the sim to make this aircraft much more unstable!!

Smooth landings.

Great captures- back with FS2004 I presume?

What model Mig is that there, and whats with the permanently inverted attitude indicator?

Looks very nice, I've just been flying around Wanaka a bit too. How come your rivers and lakes don't have giant cliffs in them?

Awesome shots again Happytraveller, especially 5 and 6 for me.

I think prevailing thought/practice around the early Migs was to build them unstable. They were counting on the fact that if you needed to make some sort split-second reaction maneuver; it'd be easier to do it if your aircraft wanted to go off and do something, as opposed to sitting there straight and level. :)

Apart from the natural cliffs in the Clutha River, I guess that if you have got cliffs in the rivers and lakes that you still have some default Wanaka scenery installed, or perhaps the original Christian Stock lakes fix. Try removing all the old lake fixes and any other default scenery for Wanaka (eg from the cds that were produced before RealNZ).

smooth landings.
