Hey everyone :)

Did a hop from Kathmandu-Lukla, Nepal. Found it very challenging and all I can do is tip my hat at the real-life pilots who do this every day. Although my landing *looks* ok it was not - it resembled a Rafale slamming down on a carrier and in real life I think the gear would have gotten torn off

Blame it all on the wind mruahahaaa!

Anyways on to the shots and I hope you enjoy them. Thanks to EDA for the great Twotter (was unable to find a Yeti Airlines repaint!). Handy to have a white repaint for each plane in case you cant find the relevant paintjob!

After a smooth departure from Kathmandu we trundle to our cruising altitude.

Pax in the last row took this one. Wicked scenery out here, wait what was that down there looked like the Ye..oh nevermind probably an errant bear....

Two motors feel comforting over this terrain although we are certainly not gonna maintain altitude if one decided to conk out!

A big difference after having a CFM56 out there. But here we have a very reliable PT6 working hard in the thin air.

As we drone along I listen to the excited chatter of the tourists in the back!

After a bumpy descent here we are on finals. That slope really throws you..

Here we go, doesnt help that everyone on the grounds watching you heh

Thud. Thud. Plonkplonk. Very hard, not pretty at all will defo need more practice.

Well at least this chap is still snapping away with his digicam :P

Right co-pilot shut 'er down Im goin to the lav..

The Twotter can essentially hover and plop down, at sea level, so it should fly just like a normal plane at Lukla!
And very timely for the March screenshot competition too.

Thanks guys Im glad you enjoyed them, will return with more now that I've got my act together and bookmarked this cool NZ FS site hee hee!

Yes no room for error here @ Lukla at all. No surprise that only the best of the best are allowed to fly this route!

Thanks for these wonderful pics and a courageous flight I might add.

I DID NOT successfully land a 777-300 in there first time.
How do the real pilots do it?

Seems like my 777-300 was unable to detect the ILS bearings during approach mode.
Ended up in the wrong direction. Finally stalling and crashing onto the mountainside

May I know where you got this realistic scenery from, is it payware?

Cheers!
