I got back into my tour of New Zealand recently after a little bit of a break to focus on an update of my AI. Still had a few old PAI packages in there that I was getting very annoyed coming accross on my travels. Those of you who know a bit about AI realise it is a time consuming process. Anyway I've got the time again now to enjoy the beautiful scenery in your part of the world.

Our route today took us from Picton to Kaikoura...the weather was a little iffy but hey. Our ride was ZK-PDM.

Warming her up on the ground in Picton.

Taking off into a bit of a headwind...the passengers will be in for a bit of a rough ride i think

Even at only 4000ft the weather was very hazy...here over the landscape of Marlborough

Beginning our descent into Kaikoura

Adjusting course for approach

The weather is closing in quickly now....I'm gonna be glad to be on the ground soon!

On final approach....the nasty crosswind we're catching isn't very obvious at the moment.

Finally down and beginning taxi...the landing was a very rough one but nobody was hurt.

Parked and shut down...I think everyone is releaved to be off the aeroplane today

Hope you enjoyed the trip and didn't get too airsick! ;)

Cheers

As I was scrolling down I thought: "Hope he's got Robin's Kaikoura installed!"
Sure enough...one of my earliest favourites, that one.
And if you have the right connections, did you know there are some whalesto be found there?
Great flight and shots, glad you're back enjoying NZ scenery.
