Well, thanks to Alfashark's original (and very cool) RSR thread, I've discovered a fantastic way in which to kill time: the CFS2 Polikarpov I-153 Chaika, by Silvia "Piloto Azul" with a very nice and fairly accurate panel by Xavier Berdaguer.
New favourite!!!
I'm looking at doing two of the three Chaikas restored in Russia for Sir Tim Wallis - Bipoli 75 and 10 (75 flew at Wanaka this year and I found 10 under maintenance in the big AFC hangar - anyone for photos?). I may do the mottled green/silver 16 if I feel brave enough! But until then, here's a look at the stock standard Chaika with a combination Russian-Finnish colour scheme at play over Wanaka.

This is available at Sim-Outhouse but I've emailed the developer to see if I can upload it at FlightSim and AvSim with my paints when they're done. She works fine in FS9, but could do with some tweaking as Alfa pointed out in his thread (the gull is far too sharp and not as elegant as on the real thing, the whole machine is very square, the stick is wrong, there's no wheel wells, the cockpit side doors don't open, the VC's less than perfect, and visibility is FAR too good!
). Still, she's far better than nothing! If you liked - which is impossible, as you can only LOVE them! - the Chaika at Wanaka this year or Masterton last year, please download this and have some fun! Goes great with REAL NZ Wanaka.Enjoy!
