Not -400 -no winglets, if if not a 200, its probably a 300

Most definately not -200. Look closely at the "bump". A lot smaller than -400

It's confusing people since it's in the latest livery. I'm not sure how long our -200s wore that livery. I know the -400s wore the previous one.

It actually depends what type of engine they have. The engines on this one (RR's), look short and fat, but the PW engines are longer/thinner.

After searching ZK-NZV on A.net, you are right in the fact it was a 747-219B (cn 22722/523), sold on to Virgin Atlantic Airways in 1999, and then Transaero Airlines in 2006.

Yeah, like I said 'the back of the engines on the ANZ -400s protrude a lot further than those do'. Those are the RB-211s that our -200s had.

Posted: Wed Apr 09, 2008 6:17 amIt is all POSKY work - I can't take much credit other than for modifying the -400 livery to fit the -200. It's not quite perfect as I think I need to remove those red blocks from the engines, and I'm missing the "-200" from the "Boeing 747" by the rear doors. Other than that I'm chuffed with the result - I just love the NZ livery - shame to see the Pacific Wave missing from some aircraft in service. Can't see why it needs updating though I hear on the grapevine that the change is on hold for a while.
Am working on putting the current livery on the DC-10...for which the purists will no doubt hate me! Pics to follow.

Posted: Thu Apr 10, 2008 5:09 pmLooks like they released a new FDE for their 744v4 and fixed the taxi issue, haven't got around to try it yet. It is a shame their FDEs are designed like they are, I think I read somewhere they made it so a full joystick movement to the left or right would only be equal to about 40% than the real world, they made it like that because of some stupid reason. Something about us flying them like fighter jets, pulling the joystick all the way to the left to start a turn etc etc. Kind of makes you think that POSKY think they're the only people who like to fly as real as possible.
But oh well.
The pics are nice, does look a lot like a 744 if you don't look at the engines, maybe a little too 'clean'?
