I've only just found the time to check this out, and it works very well. The few CBD buildings which MS have included are doubled up, of course, because I'd need to exclude them, but apart from that I'm very pleased with the way it looks. Old FS9 autogen performs a lot better so photoreal areas are still flyable at the highest autogen setting.
However, to get the water to look like this means lowering performance to the extent that I couldn't fly.

The 3rd and 5th shot looks stunning, the rest are not as good as FS9 in my opinion.

Does this mean Auckland City will be rereleased on FSX? At a discount to fs2004 version owners...?

The beta is missing the ability to tweak the sharpness of these textures, but it should be possible in the final release.

No, it means that this is pretty much ready to drop into FSX as is.

Very nice looking , I agree, 3 nd 5 just look so real :P

And that water too, with the reflections, are there any effects for fs9 that cand o that?

well this says alot when it becomes to old design tools and fsx just make them in fs9 and place in fs9 and export to fsx until they come up with a fix to ezy etc..
im so glad all that work that you have done will work in fsx without the extra cost to the customers just AWESOME

Yeah, as I said I haven't had time to remove one set of buildings, so a few are doubled up.
