Hurricane

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

I'm not posting this in this month's screenshot comp mainly because it doesn't actually look too wild, but rather quite soft and fluffy, and it's not from NZ anyway. But while I've been fiddling with ActiveSky I decided to see what a hurricane looks like from 300,000ft, and here it is. Hurricane Humberto, Southern USA, September 2007. All settings to max (1fps) and not quite as angry-looking as I'd expected.

Haha great idea Kea- can't you see any swirly patterns or an eye in the centre of the storm from up there?

Well, believe or not, there was some semblance of an eye when I started my upward slew - that dark dot in the mid-upper right quarter was where it was (it was quite a bit bigger). Then I mucked around with the time settings and it shrunk to it's current size. But no swirls unfortunately, would be great if that were modeled, although I'd hate to think of what it would do to my computer.
