This was prompted by a very nice paint of the newly-freeware ALPHA Spit, by Shadmith Manzo.
(And a new NVidia driver set, it must be said)
Thought I'd run through my collection, I must have a dozen of various ilk scattered about.

I go for the MkIX (of course!). Did the new(er) nVidia drivers make an noticeable difference? I'm a sucker for "upgrades" but I sometimes wonder whether the newer drivers are any better/faster - or whether they just have more "bloat" and there [therefore] actually slower.

Hey ... why don't we have a monthly screenshot comp devoted to *Just Spitfires*!? What a visual feast that would be!

I agree - a real Spit has elliptical wings.

RealAir is so different I treat it as another sim, really.
I'm still tickled by the Plane Designs model (Elliptical of course) possibly slightly masochistic pleasure...

Here's another True Blue, although the FS model is a little dated
