I'm assuming these screenies are from your new gaming PC, so how much FPS are you getting at VHHX now?

I'm getting a pretty poor average of around 10, flying the posky 744 on runway 13 approach- bearable, but I would be interested to know what is realistically achievable on a decent system.

Nice shots Tom! thumbup1.gif
Looking very nice there.
I am interested in the sort of FPS you're getting at Kai Tak too.

Nope, just my crappy old comp. After a fresh restart (for some reason it starts running slow after being on for a while) and no AI, I get between 15-20. It truly is fantastic, I've saved a flight on about a 7 mile final and I keep flying it in different a/c- awesome fun.

I want to add in some AI, but surprisingly enough there isn't much around for VHHX. Where can I find some?

15-20 fps sounds good for a scenery like that.
Do you know how to make your own AI traffic?
Maybe read up about that unsure.gif Otherwise can you change AI traffic arrival airports from the new Hong Kong airport to Kai tak?

Do you (or anyone else) know how to do that? That would be really helpful.

I remember Robin writing something similar in one of the old REAL NZ Handbooks (maybe for the Auckland CD), about random processes eating up your memory. I do the same before each serious sim flight too.

Ditto- a bit further out, at around 4000ft over Chap Lap Kok airport. To be honest, the reason everyone is buying this addon is to see if they can master the challenge of the approach, although some city scenics in an ultralight would make for some stunning screenies.

When you install, you can select whether or not to include static AI at Kai Tak, so you may need to reinstall. Otherwise I'm sure WOAI will be putting out some retro flight plans for Cathay etc that would make for some good virtual spotting from one of the apartment block rooftops.

Wow 15-20fps is pretty good, especially for an older com.
Restarting before a serious flight is a good policy. Windows is like that, the processes build up (especially one of them which is just a front for multiple processes due to some ancient Windows thing. System something I think it's called, and it can get pretty big.)

Great that you're enjoying Kai Tak.

Here's a direct link to the AI Daniel pointed out by the way.
I think this is the one he means, Kai Tak AI Traffic.

Here are the AI shots. I lose about 3-5FPS with all this AI. Not too bad.

Cool shots. cool.gif
The AI looks good, and you really aren't losing much for so much AI that looks like this.
The Vincent Beech is doing charter runs to Hong Kong now? Had to be done I suppose, a right of passage or something for Kai Tak.

Yeah, VA opened a new Long-Haul network recently, but due to lack of funds had to use one of the aircraft from the existing fleet for the interim..
We are the only airline to fly WB-HK direct (If you forget about the 5 tech stops tongue.gif ) !

Will you be getting any specific aircraft for your new long haul? tongue.gif
Can you start international flights from Rotorua tongue.gif biggrin.gif
If only the re-opened the real airport. I would fly all the way there just to go on the runway 13 approach.

laugh.gif Vincent might need more than one 737 200 and a few Jetstreams if this route takes off which I'm sure it will. winkyy.gif
Dash 8 was obviously busy covering for Air Nelson's pilot strike, so the good old Beech stepped up to the challenge then. winkyy.gif
(Speaking of Vincent, nice plug for VA on the news tonight biggrin.gif)

I agree that it would be great to reopen Kai Tak, but they have newer supposedly better facilities now and Kai Tak would be "too dangerous" to reopen.
