Hi,

Well although there was only a small turnout, it still proved to be an enjoyable night for all involved I have to say.

Most of us turned up at NZAA about 8.30pm, then departed for Okiwa Sation around 9pm, realising we werent going to make Okiwa by 9.30pm, we decided to use some time acceleration :P

Here's a couple of pictures of the group parked outside the "Club Rooms" enjoying a nice cold one, with our deck chairs.

The mission also proved very fun and we headed to "Mercury Bay" to find the NZFFS Antenna on top of Mecury Island's summit..(my textures weren't showing correctly for the aerial).

I won the event and now own my own "Batch" down here in Dunedin, but it's at the shop getting built :P As a one off for the 5 participants, everyone get's their own Batch as a reward for putting in an appearance.

Great even Trolly, maybe the next event might be a good idea to depart from my new batch? And maybe I could think of a mission, and get natas to design the Antenna again ;)

Hi guys
I was really disappointed that I could not join in on Saturday despite trying 3 times.
I was able to find the server and session but could not configure my firewall to allow you others to connect with my machine (I think). Anyway each time I got some error message to that effect.
I turned off the XP internal firewall but use Zone Alarm Pro which I tried to get to allow Flight Simulator to bypass but without success.
I am not prepared to turn it off completely on this machine.
Anyone any ideas?
If not I may have to accelerate upgrading to a new machine which I would love to do for the arrival of FSX and use that as a dedicated sim machine - but I don't want to give up on all these FS2004 goodies, so hope there is some other solution.
Miffed
Mike

PS
The pictures look really smart with the "club look" of identical liveries and well done Chris on finding the mission marker.
I will now have a lonesome flyin to see it myself!
Cheers
Mike

Great screenies guys- and thanks for participating!

Even though only a few members turned out, we still had a good time B) Every club needs to start out small, and hopefully we will gain momentum and grow larger as the months continue.

I took billions of *great* screenies last night, only to shut down my sim and realise that I had forgot to run the tool I use for multiple captures (Screen Hunter 4.0) and as a result, I only has the last image I had printscreened, which turned out to be a crap one. Bummer!

Oh well, at least we have natas2003's formation videos to look forward to.

See you all at OX next month!

An additional response to the people who could not join the multiplayer session:

Perhaps it is because we are using an NZ based server that foreigners such as yourselves could not join? It might be something to do with the country's IP address system but can't be sure"¦

Nope. I had the same issue, very disappointing.
I am reminded why I abandoned the online thing way back, there are many things between you and connecting successfully, most of them out of your hands
I understand FSX is better geared for this sort of thing.

yeah i just turned my firewall of all together and didnt have any problems we will have to get that sorted somehow but i think its gotta be something in comon as i had to send files out to some and they also are some of the ones that had problems connecting to the server, strange ?as the 2 problems are totally different ,
awesome flight out anyway guys ive still got lots of movie footage so can make a couple and the other one i made this morning i should have uploaded tonight...
