This month A2A Simulations are sponsoring our screenshot competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot this month will receive a USD$50 credit at the A2A Simulations online store, A2A products can be viewed at www.a2asimulations.com/store/ ... Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

This is the 29th monthly screenshot competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your shot suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that when positioning your aircraft and choosing camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from October 1st 2008 to October 31st 2008, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission before the closing date if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by using the edit button at the bottom of your post. Please don't post saying you have edited your original entry, as this creates unnecessary clutter).

5) On October 31st, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the A2A Simulations credit!

6) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) This month's theme is 'The Spirit of NZFF'. The rest is up to you.

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best screenshot win!

Exactly. My fiendish plan these months is to keep you wondering about ideas so you'll never be able to think (let alone fly) straight again... tongue.gif laugh.gif

Sorry for keeping you waiting then. winkyy.gif

Yep, nothing that says I can't enter (I also remember that Trolly has entered a few times as well - given that he is the real runner of the competitions - he's just having a break while he's on his OE). It's a combination of me being really busy lately, hence not simming much, and also I feel it's easier to run the competition well without having a shot in there (also helps anyone from saying there's some sort of conflict of interest with me running the show, and also competing). smile.gif

Plus I think I've only ever entered into the competition 2 or 3 times during the time I've been here - so it's not as if I'm holding out from entering just because I'm helping to organise it. wink.gif

No problem asking by the way, am happy to answer.

So yep, 984 pixels is what the final width is. winkyy.gif (you can just right-click on the banner now and - depending on browser - you should be able to find out the dimensions).

Height varies depending on what is in the image etc (generally not more than about 350px). smile.gif

Ok, looks like we've got a common theme going here. laugh.gif

Maybe some ideas?

How about... aircraft, scenery, ai, tools, (+ loads more) that you've found here?
Multiplayer shots maybe, that might tie in well.
