A few early morning shots. Sometimes I fly on instruments in cloud for an hour and practice approaches, other times I just fly for the views. Here are the shots for the views of the sky. These bring back a lot of memories of early morning (bleary-eyed)arrivals on NZ1 into AKL. Set several layers of clouds in FEX, set the autopilot and just enjoyed the clouds. It will be even better when RealNZ Auckland comes out.

Smooth landings.

My set up is not fancy by current standards, only a laptop with 2.0GHz dual core, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 8600GT graphics card. Run FSX with Alacrity to stop all unneccessary programs, and also have done a lot of tweaking, things like reduced tree size textures. Currently got Vista 32 bit running, but I am considering returning to XP as I do not like Vista at all. Lots of small niggles with Vista and it uses so much power just to run. One thing that I love is a high resolution screen, so I have got FSX running at 1920 resolution.

Wonderful clouds thanks to FEX, and just the default 747. I will probably not go for a better 747 as I am concentrating on the smaller aircraft, and am concentrating on getting to know them really well.

So if you screenshots are not coming out as well, then try some tweaking!!!

smooth landings.

Yea im finding that aswell, I got better performance from my old computor (very low spec but was running XP) than I am on my new one (vista) which has about 4x's the specs of my old comp sad.gif

Great atmosphere captured there HT- FEX really makes a clear difference from stock textures.
