I took my Baron from NZWP to NZNV today. And I flew it real time. Well it seemed like a good idea at the time :-)

The route was NZWP - AA - HN - OH - NS - CH - SW - NV - NZNV.

Climbing out of NZWP

Crossing NZAA

Here's a look at how I had my two screen arranged

Oh No, it's the end of the world !

Here's a familar sight. It just wouldn't be right not to have a gratuitous Ruapehu shot.

Ohakea is down there somewhere.

Oh look, there it is.

Turning towards Nelson

Passing Kapiti Island

Landfall. If it wasn't for all those clouds I might still be able to see the wrapper from a huge easter egg down there LOL

This would be very pretty, if I could see it properly through the clouds

I see mountains

That's Omaka NZOM

And that's Woodbourne LOL

Christchurch here we come

I'm glad I'm up here not down there

En route Woodbourne to Christchurch. I love the way the clouds sit in the valleys.

Approaching Christchurch

Almost at Christchurch

About to turn at CH VOR

Leaving Christchurch via Lake Ellesmere

Following the coast down past Timaru NZTU

Overhead Dunedin.

What am I letting down into ???

Welcome to Invercargill

Turning to line up with Runway 04

w00t ! I see a runway !!! I am teh win !!!!!

This is going to be ugly

Actually maybe not

Dang I'm good - 300fpm and on the tarmac, what more could you ask for :-)

Look at that windsock - "wind 200 @ 5 knots" Yeah blimmin' Right !

And here we are ...... What a marathon, 4hrs 45 mins. And yes all flown in real time.

Cheers
Gary
