A 767 of my own

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Waka posting his 767 screenies, combined with something I was saying to Dazza on Targa about how we all tend to fly all the same planes, got me started on a new toy of my own.

It needs to go back into the spray shop for a while yet but it's not a bad start ...

Hey wow, you can see the South Island from Kapiti !

Cruising ...

Here's the real one for comparison

Turning over Hamilton

Descending towards the Hauraki Gulf

And there we are

Cheers
Gary

Get it ? I made it !! cool.gif

Like I said, everyone who flies a Level-D Air NZ 767 ends up flying good old ZK-NCN,

and it seems silly, so I'm going through the learning curve of doing something about it. I think I can safely say that if I went online now I'd be the only one flying ZK-NBA in these colours. And if I did fluke it and find another version of the same plane it's only a 5 minute job to change the reg number. In fact this came damn close to joining my baron and my 727 as another ZK-GJL biggrin.gif

I've brought the bottom of the tail graphic up so it doesn't bleed onto the fuselage any more (see the "turning over Hamilton" shot above),

and I'm so close to getting the two sides of the fuselage lined up properly that I'm inclined to call it done for now.

I don't know about beautiful, that's for Concordes and things, but yes the 767 is definitely a very good looking bird.

Cheers

Thanks Ian.

I see PMDG have done one of these paints for their MD11, so it's not entirely forgotten. I'm just glad the old Air NZ designers obviously didn't like sweeping curves from the fuselage up onto the tail either laugh.gif

Cheers
