Largest down load ever , a whooping 4 + GIG in 3 hrs and 42 mins , wasnt going to muff around , instant install even before going to the editor

slight changes in the cloud formation and detail , the water .. now this almost feels real and cold

after a whiles , the detail starts to click

scooting across the the cloud layer .. whispery bits float up

These are only the default install settings and no editing or REX mod .

On the button Ian, great screens.
Just for the lark, I'm going to install the FS9 version (shortly, I assume) on my standby sim, and see what it does there.
Certainly looks quite promising.

Ian ... I gotta know this QUICK winkyy.gif ... as I'm not sure whether to use my screenie-compie-thingie token for ASX or settle for PAX and buy REX.

Have you ever run ASX? Are you able to compare it to REX? I'm talking about FSX versions.

The REX screenies look pretty stunning (as does that Prowler!). It may be that they *look* similar, but one may out-perform the other in framerates or flexibility.

I only recently purchased the ActiveSkyX ASX along with X Graphics , They would be ideal for a low end system , I have found very similar differences with REX , still need a little exploring but appears one heck of a program for your weather . I hav'nt really look at PAX .. sounds a very interesting addon .

Its not much help , but i would get the PAX .. tell the world about it .. and buy FEX ... Jeepers hope the guys at HiFi Simulation didnt here me . ninja.gif

Thanks Ian (LOL). PAX it is then!!! Can't wait to see what my passengers will make of my standard approach to NZAA ... inverted laugh.gif

I've seen ASX in action on a friend's PC ... but never really got to play with it, so no way of comparing. Lemme see ... we have FSX, ASX, FEX, REX, TUX ... which one's the penguin?
