Big news: This month, Flight1 are sponsoring our competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot will receive any download from the Flight One Software library that they want for free! That's an incentive for you all!

--------------------
Here is our 6th monthly Screenshot Competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF.

Well done to Cbris, for winning the September competition. A cropped version of his shot can be seen in the banner at the top of the page.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from FS2004, and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot.

3) Images can be submitted from October 3rd to October 31st 2006, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one.

4) On October 31st, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of there image appear in the NZFF banner!

5) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

6) This month's theme is 'Vintage Aircraft' ... how you go about displaying that is up to you, be creative!

7) A new rule now that we are offering prizes, each member who enters must have made at least 5 posts on the NZFF forums before they can enter.

Let the games begin! :ph43r:

Just freshen my memory - what's the definition of "vintage" - 50 years+ if I remember rightly?

Oh... you can fly in Sepia Tone mode if you have ATI graphics card and the Catalyst Control Centre.

Brilliant shot of that bag of strings and bamboo (or whatever it was made of) - This is going to be a tough competition indeed!

Awwwwwwwwwwww maaaaaaaaaaan, why do you have to do the Vintage Comp AFTER I've had to uninstall FS due to limited space remaining? Arrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh! Dammitall! Good luck to those competing! Some fine pics so far.

Where on earth did you find an FS model of the Pearse monoplane? How cool!

This is by Jon Murchison, who let me include it on an old Godzone CD. He was going to release it once it was finished -- he just needed to add a pilot, from memory. I don't think it's ever been released though.

Here's another Tiger Taker.
There are some not-so-obvious features of this screenshot:
NSOF #1 is the a/c repaint artist painted a red ooze emanating from the cowling
NSOF #2 is the fine reddish mist spraying out under the aircraft in the screenshot, visible between the wing struts
NSOF #3 is the fact the pilot is huddled down searching for the chart showing "Small emergency airstrips in the Mt Cook District"
