Well these holidays I have decided I want to explor the part of the world called europe(is taht speeled right?lol) :P

So I also decided I would fly there first, heres my plan:

NZCH-YSNF B763
YSNF-YBBN B763
YBBN_YBCS B763
YBCS-YPDN B752
YPDN-WSSS A330
WSSS-VRMM B763
VRMM-EGLL B763

I have done all but the last flight witch has been delayed since Iv sold my graphics card now. So heres the screenies I got so far. All these flights are done in posky aircraft.

I departed NZCH with my sim time set to 2pm, heres as I wave new zealand goodbye.

user posted image
The next day (with the sim time at the point I left of afer landing in YSNF) getting pushback for my flight to brisbane.

Sadly I seem to have lost all my screenshots of landing at YBBN and flying to cairns.

user posted image
It was a very very low vis landing at cairns, I heard the gear slam on to the runway before I the rwy, hadn't even seen any lights. I toook this during taxi witch turned out to be very long and harder than landing!

user posted image
Next it was out of the 763 and into a DHL 752 heading for Darwin, I took this just as I passed out of the fog during climbout.

user posted image
Getting above the last few clouds, this is the rather simplistic VC, at least some of the guages work.

user posted image
btw I used real weather for all of these flight, I downloaded it before each flight yet left the sim time moving on by itslef. The metar for ypdn was TSRA, this screenshot is the last I saw of clear skies as I descended!

user posted image
I jumped into a A330 and proceded to fly to singapore, heres climbout out of darwin, once again taken just as I got out of the clouds.

The A330s VC is truly amazing, heres some shots I took during the 5 hours cruise to singapore.

user posted image
The exterior is not bad eathier. I really like not changeing the sim time during a
series of flights as you see all sorts of differant time of day...

user posted image
WSSS is located jsut above the ecuator, the over head panel has a workingADIRS system so I watched it switch over to N corordinates.

user posted image
Short final WSSS.

user posted image
Once I was shut down at the gate and had savecd the flight so I could reload the next day I watched a reply of my landing and took this screenshot.

user posted image
I loaded up the faithful 763 again flew to the maldives!

user posted image
now the sun is begining to rise.

user posted image
A not so perfec approach into the male, I was sueing addon scenery witch gave me some prety bad stuters too.

user posted image
The lovely 763 sitting on the apron at VRMM with the sun begining to rise in the background :P

user posted image
By useing the view options menu I put the spot distance really far out and got this shot of VRMM, this is the only island in the maladives capable of a airport (aprox10,000ft rwy) and evcen then I think they had to extened the island haha.

So thats all I have so far, I can't wait to have my sim running again and fly the 10hour trip dct to london! Itll be awsome with the sun rise. Ill post pictures from that flight in this thread once I do it.

I found flying around mostly defualt airports that I had prety reasonable frame rates, haveing really low vis approachs also helped I think. It certainly made it alot more enjoyable than the usualy 10fps flight around new zealand

I proabably needent say my sim is currently inoprative, you just have to look at the length of this post! lol

Coments welcome

Cool screenies Jimmy, its nice being able to follow your progress- almost as if I had been flying along with you ;)

That A330 sure has a nice VC- but did you forget to turn on the cockpit lights during your cruise, it looks a little dark..?

haveing really low vis approachs also helped I think. It certainly made it alot more enjoyable than the usualy 10fps flight around new zealand

Bear in mind that AI traffic also contributes towards low FPS- especially at the big international airports such as Heathrow. You may want to reduce the % of AI you are seeing, as well as shutting down all the background processes you are running visable on the taskbar in your screenies, and maximise your view to full screen ;)

Looking forward to your next report!

well, after much planning and preparation I departed male intl today in my 763. Over half way threw this 11hour long flight my sim crashed. There seems to be a problem with the panels guages, usualy only giving the "msfs has encounterd and error and needs to close" window when I load the panel after a saved flight. But rarely it displays that error jsut during a constant situation for no reason that I can think off.

So I am VERY frustrated. I saved the flight about an hour before the crash yet I stopidly saved it from 2d panel view so reloading it would cause fs tocrash. Unless of course I temparoarly removed the guages folder.... any way itd still be anothor 6 hours flying and I aint quite as motivated now...............

Pete Dowson's Autosave. Just about the best friend you can take on a long haul flight in FS9... http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

(okay, it's too late for this flight, but next time you'll be able to pick up from where FS crashed and lose - at most - 1 minute's flying! Saved my bacon many a time, it has! )

Well I managed to reload from the save point half way thrw the flight, (I removed the guages folder, loaded it switched to spot view resdaved then placed the guages folder back in and load it then click the reload aircraft comand then switched to 2d panel, its a bit touchy lol)

I reloaded at excacly the same time I saved it the next day, so

Getting ready for flight at male.

Climbout threw some nice flufy clouds.

I used real weather as I do for any flight, For longer flights I liek to have a look at the weather maps avalible
via a link from vpa's site. After flying along with no clouds at all it was quite neat to see some clouds jsut at
the point were the weather map showed em! sadly they were all the clouds I saw for a long time...

Much to my suprise there were many ships around this area with the defualt scenery. Looked prety kool.

Aircraft posky 767, lonny payns 75 panel. (with 76 and fs9 updates)
Real work weather, all textures defualt. Male intl scenery from avsim I think and rest is all defualt.

Well done Jimmy, a great flight and excellent screenies. I'm really pleased you got sufficient performance from your machine to be able to do it.

hey james

with the 2nd screenshot of the ANZ lord of the rings 767 on pushback
if you are doing that you should'nt have a pilots license lol i have never seen a 767 on the grass before on push back just so you know you can't park the 767 on the ground like you do with the tomahawks and cherokees at the aero club lol
but the rest of your screenshots are awsome
