G'day team.

Today Jon and I heading north. But first We went for a quick helicopter joint cockpit ride around Nelson. From NZNS Jon had the controls and we headed for Blenheim.

After a quick touch down at Woodbourne we headed for Omaka, just a stones throw away. At this point Jon did the unthinkable!!!!!!!!............................He jumped in a Goose! :D (So unexpected)

I stayed in the Jet Ranger and got away first to NZWN, Jon was airbourne a few minutes later.

Heres a few screenshots tracking Jon at NZWN

And Nik did an excellent job touring around Nelson. Did you know the centre of New Zealand is at the top of a hill in Nelson? I didn't.

My flight into Welly was interesting, real world weather was spot on, gentle northerly but low cloud. Heres the control tower in Omaka, soggy ground as it's all grass here..

A cloud of spray and were away, and this isnt even on the water...

This is an interesting one, you can just see the ground, and with the sun at midday the light is quite blinding..

On approach, Nik assures me he's down there somewhere. I was flying a full ILS approach to see how the Goose would go, she captured early and held a tight approach and decent, gentle northerly helped somewhat...

Once through the cloud we were fine..

I'll have to go next time I'm in Nelson, I've been to the very top of the nth island, and the very bottom of the south, going to the centre would be the trifector :P
