I have been looking for PCPilot and Computer pilot everywhere(in Wellington) and can't find any of them. I been to Whitcoulls J'ville and Wellington. Paper plus J'ville and other places. Magnetix. Dymocks. I can not find it. Where have you bought yours? I want to get a copy of any of them.

I've got a subscription but Magnetix (Midland Park) is the only place in Wellington where you can get them. Whitcoulls and Dymocks don't stock them. I'm not sure about Quay computers anymore since they moved.
I went into Magnetix and Quay Computers on Saturday. Magnetix (midland park) had tow different issues of Computer Pilot ($21 each) but no PC Pilot. The next PC Pilot issue should be at Magnetix by about the 20th Just try next week-end and they should have it and it'll be about $26.
Hope this helps.

Magnetix (both Lambton Quay and Willis Street). Must have simply been out of stock when you were looking for it. Have also seen both on sale at the NZWN bookshop (now that's surprising, eh? )

RE MAGAZINES,

I usually get PCAviator by download, as it is handy to keep and in a pdf format. Also it is much cheaper as well!! They have a section on their download site where you can order it,

smooth landings.

I got anothor 6 mounth subscrpition for computer pilot when I brought fsx from pcaviator. It comes about 30days late everymounth but its a good read, I enjoy it, theres enough in there to last a whole mounth if you read slowly, about 80pages.

I don't thinhk you can buy computer pilot in New Zealand of the shelf, iv never seen it..

Magnetix on Willis St had PC Pilot this morning, as well as the April editions of Flyer and Pilot (UK GA mags. I've never seen Today's Pilot here though, which is published by the same people as PC Pilot). I'm sure I've seen Computer Pilot there in the past, but not recently.

Does anybody else read Airliner World? Or am i just a freak? :D It's a good airliner (funnily enough) non-fs magazine. Actually looking back on an issue I have, Trolly wrote an article about spotting at Auckland in it. You'll find it at Magnetix, and now the whitcoulls at wgtn airport for about $16 i think.

Yeah I read it as well, I like 'real world' airline magazines.

Got to admit, I quite like the "local" (ie mostly Australian) flying mags. They often have some fascinating and quite in-depth articles in them. For instance I was just reading a quite technical item on propeller aerodynamics. NZ Sport Flying is also a hoot. The trip reports (love them & often try to fly them in FS) were of a fly-in at Raglan and Black Sands beach, followed by a guy going to the Tiger Moth 75th, who got as far as Welly then took the train! (but gave a wonderful description of how different the Spiral looked at ground level!) Plus there's always some codger in the back pages who appears to be building his own plane from bits of scrap timber from "plans" on the back of a fag packet!

Australian Aviation is a monthly for me, good quality, quite cheap and always interesting with a good balance between airline, military and GA.

I also read Airliner World- they sell it at the NZAA International Terminal Whitcolls and also a magazine shop/dairy on the main street of Ellerslie.

I also get Pacific Wings (got the April one today) and 'Australian Flying' which has a monthly flight simulator review.

Anyone know if they sell Computer Pilot/PC Pilot anywhere in Auckland?
