Well I have been in contact with Helicopters New Zealand and the latest news is that the Agusta AW139 ZK-HNZ will be based in New Plymouth at this stage they are deciding whether or not they will be touring the country in it although there will be a full press release in the not to distant future.

Nice shots of a nice chopper- interesting comparison with the 412 looks a bit bigger.

Are you sure thats a Vampire? - looks like a L-29 Delphin to me although hard to see. There is a L-39 & a Vampire based in NP and there is a couple of L-29s in NZ (not sure where they are based though so maybe NP).

Doesn't look like a Vampire so must be a L-29 :P

Brett Emeny is his name he owns the Vampire in NP amongst other things (Yak-52, bunch of choppers etc). Thats a L-29 Delfin which he may also own - thanks for the close up

According to the CAA website, there are two L-29s currently on the register; ZK-JRF owned by Wairakei Holdings Ltd and ZK-VAU owned by Coromandel Pharmacy Ltd. They are both fairly recent additions, I wonder if one of them is the one that was advertised on TradeMe sometime back?
