Vote for the September Screenshot Competition!

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby Alex » Wed Oct 01, 2008 8:53 pm

Well guys, it's that time of month. Another massive competition is behind us, with 23 entries, well done to all who put the effort in and submitted a shot! clapping.gif

Make sure you have your high-res copy still safely saved - we'll need it if your shot gets voted the winner.

Voting will be open until Saturday (4th October) evening, then the screenshot that has the most votes will be the winner, and the author will get to choose a Justflight payware product and get it absolutely free.

Feel free to post any questions, and the best of luck to all. smile.gif

Alex

Edit: Oh yea, you can still check out the bigger images here, if you're undecided. winkyy.gif

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

My Vote is also in.

But I just have one comment to make. I think the topic was really brushed past on this occasion.

The theme was, Back to Basics, and it was not at all strictly controlled.

All the images this month are fantastic, but whether or not alot of them are "Back to Basics" is my problem.

I understand everybody has their own perception, but theres a fine line between the two.

It was a tricky theme, that's for sure, but actually, as we've seen, this helps open it up a little, rather than having to define a strict interpretation. And as always, the poster decides what represents the theme for him, the voters decide if he made the right decision:)

I can really only echo Robin on this one. smile.gif

My idea was to get a range of varied shots (as opposed to all landing, all in cockpit), with each person showing off what they thought that theme meant. I try to keep the themes really open to interpretation, so we get a smattering of different shots, and people really have the chance to enter in a shot which has meaning to them. smile.gif

Congratulations Paul, winning with a three-vote margin. clapping.gif

First time an unpowered aircraft has won a competition here, as an aside. smile.gif
