looks good Paul , but little out off scale with windows in the hanger compared to the cars parked behind the fence .

Hmm the cars do look a bit small..didnt notice in the scenery.

Yep stall warning was blaring big time..shadows off to improve FPS in some scenery (Orbx) and forgot to reactivate ....would of been no problem in Lawries Hawera & VLC scenery though

Mate - that's a prop aircraft your flying, not a rocket! laugh.gif I know those bad-boys have got some serious horses under the hood, but that's the sort of climb where an PAM or RAT would be the go... biggrin.gif

Yes, the cars do seem a bit small - is it poss that the hangar is just really big? Don't know the airfield, so someone who does can perhaps comment. Also, is it poss that the cars have been inadvertently scaled down?

Otherwise, it's looking great! smile.gif

I was thinking the same thing, the hangar could just be a little big, could also be the shot angle and placement of objects creating that illusion.

I know the airfield well as its my old hometown and my folks still live there. Dad flies RC planes from the Model Club building out beyond the apron. The main original hangar (there are now a total of four) that is being referred to is not very large, accommodating up to maybe three C172 size aircraft. Its an airfield which I will model at some stage, once my Cresco project is done. I put all scenery on hold til VLC was released !! In the meantime snowman is doing fine filling gaps in the airfields even by generic buildings.

That's great that you know the airfield so well. Have you got any thoughts about the proportions? I have no intention of knocking what snowman does - he's such a massive help to me - all of us - with scenery. Still, I'm interested to know what needs tweaking...

I sent Paul 2 sceneries to play with.
They were both simple and quick FS9 to FSX conversions.
Hawera, and Matamata,...... i only chose those 2 as they both have an interest to him for various reasons.
I didnt modify or change anything in them as far as buildings or other objects go.
It was just a quickie test to see how they sit in VLC, as i havnt got VLC ,................... yet.
I have a number of completely built from scratch for FSX sceneries under construction at present, as well as some FS9 to FSX conversions ( with modifications and improvements).
I was building to fit the Red Baron 20m mesh, and NZ Topo with FSX patch, but have halted work on the NZ airports until i get VLC.
Im instead, at present, building a number of airports in the Cook Islands and New Caledonia, until i get VLC.
Someone else is also testing my new NZKK KeriKeri, NZWR Whangarei, NZKT Kaitaia, NZNR Napier.
NZKK, NZWR and NZKT and from scratch builds for FSX, and NZNR is a heavily modified conversion of my FS9 scenery using the same buildings.
Im also building NZNP New Plymouth to fit Mike's (creator2003) beautiful Photoreal ground scenery.

Ha ha,........ there are a few i never got around to for FS9..............
I may get to them in FSX,..........
There are number that i wont be doing for FSX, that i did do for FS9,.......... Any that someone else has done, or is doing for FSX.
No point in double-ups of the same airport or airfield.

My VLC CD arrived in the post today,....... so im going to install that tonight, and have a look to see what modifications ( if any) i may have to make
to any FSX airports i currently have under construction.

Now they are the sort shots required for many the airfields , a single shed skyline type garage gives a good perspective to scale .

Ok - cheers Lawrie. Pretty sure I've still got a lot of the basic models done a few years back, but never finished (was an abandoned FS2000/2002 project) so should be able to be updated and finished. Is there a definitive list anywhere of NZ FSX and FS2004 scenery - whats done and whats in progress? Would be nice to get something like that with all NZ airports listed, whats done and whats under construction, whether its FS2004 or FSX and whether its generic object built or custom modelled etc.

Yeah, i remember seeing some pics here on NZFF quite a while back, of the scenery you were doing. Looked pretty good.
Not sure about a definitive list for FSX and FS9, but for FS9 anyway, check out my list here in my NZFF sub-forum http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4309 .
I'll be pretty much doing everything i did for FS9 for FSX,...... unless someone else is worrking on it,... no point in double ups.
Other possibilities for a list so far for NZ are...........

FS9 http://www.freewarescenery.com/fs2004/newzealand.html

FSX http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx/newzealand.html

Both good places to start a list from, and also these 2 here on NZFF..............

The map here http://nzff.org/maps/ is massively out of date - at the very least, it's missing Creator's CHCH, Northland & Abel Tasman scenery. Who manages the map?
