As the Battle of Britain finished , figure,s show the Hurricane shot down a total off the two thirds off enemy aircraft of the 1700/1750 involved , the ideal bomber interceptor and the concept was a monoplane fighter built from the 'Hart' easy recon in screens , in course the Typhoon designed as the replacement for the Hurri found its on limitations due its thick wing but with this found it ideal as a ground attack support aircraft , replace the wing with a thin lamina flow wing then became the Tempest which lead to the Fury .

All off these Hawkers were flown by New Zealanders during WWII and we even had Hart's in the NZ

Nice Screens Marty

Sadly, I think many of the early Typhoons had engine problems (in particular, shortly after take-off) and killed too many brave pilots. My old gliding club airfield (Aston Down, in the UK) had them - and the villages in the valleys around it have these sad tales as local folklore.

Great screens though, Marty! thumbup1.gif
