Perhaps the Mods could start a topic for this particular aircraft (un-named) so we wouldn,t be tricked into looking at it....? angry.gif

I wonder if the problem here is similar to the uncanny valley. This applies to robotics, but it could apply to aircraft for some of us. So perhaps the fact that this 'aircraft' appears to be so close to an actual aircraft -- but obviously isn't -- it engenders a feeling of revulsion in some people. Just a thought....

That was quite funny really. I was enjoying each pic as I scrolled down the page, and then a sudden revulsion. Quite odd, but perhaps not surprising. It's not a thing I have decided in my mind to 'not appreciate'. laugh.gif
Cheers

I'm sorry about that, normally I am a bit more understanding of other people's tastes. But sometimes you just have to get it out of your system, kind of like Austin Powers here. Marty, please read no further, while I get his off my chest...

Honestly, the thing looks like a chipper shredder, and putting a person in it is just plain dangerous...
If this was ever an aircraft, then this is after it's been in the car crusher...
I could put wings on my outhouse, but it wouldn't make it an aircraft...

There, I feel better.

Don't worry Splitpin, whilst other hypothesize with their strange theries of "uncanny valleys" we will continue to discuss and immortalise an aviation legend!
Did you know there is an Air***k facebook page - yes I joined it today!
Also you might be interested in the RNZAF Proboards Forum. Don't be put off by the RNZAF bit as much of the forum is dedicated to all other facets of NZ aviation. heres the Air***k thread in the ag section: Air truk thread. Lots of good pics there.

if all this hostility towards the wee little Air***k doesnt stop I may have to build one,..it will come with large 50cal cannons and a large cow catcher bolted on the front to ram the non believers. Marty will be modelled at the controls, and Ian will be modelled inside of her teriffieing backside biggrin.gif .
