Wow, wonderful shots. The Lanc looks very much at home in Milford Sound, and the screenshots do it justice too. Number one gets my vote

great set of shots there,

smooth landings.

Thanks, HT ... there seemed to be no end of "photo opportunities" on that flight. I suppose both Lanc and Milford Sound are both pretty photogenic. #1 was my favourite too - but I went for #3 for the letterbox shape and drama for the comp - though I don't really think people consider that too much when voting winkyy.gif

Sudden elevation changes can be achieved with flattens and then 'covered' with the dam. The only potential issue is for non-VLC users as the flattens are tied to the mesh heights which may result in some odd results.

Would it then be possible to place a dam model over the top?

That's good news, Timmo. I suspect the sudden changes in elevation would be hard. I don't think I've ever seen a decent dam anywhere in the FSX world. Has anyone succeeded, I wonder?

Not wanting to steal the show, here is a screen of the default Hoover dam in FSX. The dam isn't bad, but it could be better....I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

If I was going to build a dam, I'd seriously look at doing Ohau, there are three Ohau dams, and two of them are pretty much identical. winkyy.gif

Well ... thanks, Naki - and congratulations to Snowman (and Ian <???>) ... both of those dams do appear to work in FSX!!

... and here's the bonus!

... though it doesn't quite match the drama of the MF ones above!

Thanks for the reminder, Paul.
The dambusters had downlights criscross focussed to make a single spot at 60 ft.
I wonder if one could add such to a model?
I messed with some of the Shockwave ones as a first try

Wow! Not bad at all! It didn't occur to me that I could mess with the Shockwave lights (which I've had for donkey's years, but only ever tweaked lights for the DC-3).

Wouldn't mind seeing a full size version of that pic (or more!). thumbup1.gif

EDIT: Just noticed the animated water!!! laugh.gif

EDIT: Just noticed the animated water!!! laugh.gif[/quote]Time to up the ante a little with the screens, eh?

Had to dig a little to find the right Lancaster, but like most things if you have a little patience - it's been done.
I got involved, and am reading a little more about the raid, and doodling too.
Next will be some flak I guess, Wing Commander Warren does this stuff better
