The Return to the MOTAT SPECIAL JK brings to life the Thunderbolt i had a chance to really check out in the mid/late 1980s - a WIP cool.gif

The P-47 New Zealand connection , now i wonder how many had the chance to step on the wing as I did ?

biggrin.gif Indeedo but probably not now , i think the swap deal was for a Sopwith Pup that now resides in the Wigram Museum and parts if not all the P-40 undergoing its final stages of restoration at Wigram as well , the Thunderbolt went to Australia for restoring due to its connection with the RAAF in WWII , infact it would be good to hear from any of our Aussie friends who might be able to share what the current scale of work completed on it so far , maybe some photos cool.gif

I recently read an article about this aircraft, thought it was in Classic Wings, will have a hunt and see if I can find it.

I still love this accusim aircraft despite its age. Still the only radial fighter they have produced.

Basicly the same engine as the F4U so maybe a ACCusimmed that could be done .. AF Corsair is the start cool.gif
