Remarkable timing, releasing this repaint of the TDS 789 today:

Panning around the aircraft, you can see how this livery was signed off: the execs were shown a model and from some angles (which we will not easily see) it is very dramatic.

Going to be interesting to see how long this livery is going to appeal to the airline board directors, thinking about it - most the time I'm in black, the PC wall is black, the TV turned off is black .. all and forgot, my art portfolio is black, I think the ANZ boss's have been sneaking around my place for some colour direction ninja.gif

Wonder how the overall energy consumption works out?
On the ground the black jet will cook so will need some aircon or a Big Umbrella.
And all that paint weighs a bit, too.
I suppose being carbon fibre you can't do a nice American Airlines chrome finish on it...

I did not think the entire fuselage was to be 'Black' ... maybe the ANZ art directors live in Tauranga and swim a bit, I think this is just artistic licence following the ARBUST ... looking all Black and Horrible dry.gif

It is just the first one which will be all black. The rest will be in the white/black livery.
Apparently there is no extra internal heat generated by the black paint.....what was that Ripley's saying again? smile.gif

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
