Doing circuits at KJAC in the 20 ton dog whistle .... got bored, so ended up trying to get the gear up as soon as possible , and as low as possible . Got away with it a few times .... those props are big , even at Vr , just push a tad instead of pull ..... messy.

FSX, Rick Piper , Orbx KJAC .

P.s theres an idea for somebody ... this months comp , this old girl in mount cook paint posed over the mountain the airline took its name from , just a thought .

Thanks for looking guys .... yet another FS9 star that wont go away. Rick Piper is a legend in my book.
@ AB , your right .... gear movement shots do emphasize motion .... you did a couple with the P-3 , the brain almost completes the action , whereas most of my screens seem to be just suspended there .
Will do more and bore the group winkyy.gif

You will only have half a job to do Ian ..... Ive got the port side looking not to bad (last time i saw her) but the other side is real sad . Next time Im out there , I'll start on the wings .... bloody shame , the poor old thing , and to think I and a few others here have flown on her.... sad , its now a kids playground sad.gif
Im not sure .... if someone can confirm please do , but i think she is 1 of only 3 complete airframes left in the world .... sad.

After looking at it recent , hull only due to the playground romping's .. you could have easy built a model to suit the kiddies .

As for the left overs I read that one was burnt recently in Africa , not sure what was left in the UK but sure the one in Wigram is the most intact complete article.

I think one in the UK , and maybe one someplace else in Europe .... hard to get my head around museum "best practice" sometimes. Dont get me started .... they are great people , as you know , but .... jeez , if its the 3rd (and last) complete airframe in the world .... keep the kids out.
I remember the the last time i cleaned the inside .... bloody awful , gum , paper , and dust .... which attract's moisture ... which adds to corrosion , and the end is near! .
I'll stop there , because if i carry on it might get messy .... best practice ? yeah right.

Arr least you have a great freeware, I think Wigram will get No.21 sorted and kick the kids out in a few years, hells it weathered on the tarmac for ten plus years.

After speaking to Barf about spending and what they are allocated it may rough it out for a few years to come, maybe why the interior has been decked out in ply, save the structure.

You do get a few little issues in the cockpit textures but both the 748 and 780, good thing it user friendly for the low end PC.

If you wanna get the gear up sooner, press "G" during your take off run and it will automatically retract the instant you leave the ground...
