Pictures don't really do it justice, have LiveATC SY TWR blaring in my headset, hand flying from 10K, none of this ILS stuff smile.gif
Bring on FlyTampa's Sydney!

Speaking of Sydney ATC....anyone know who or for what purpose the 'director' is/does?

The director is the final approach controller. He takes charge to ensure no transgression from one runway centreline towards the other.
He is also the man that you talk when conducting a PRM approach (Precision Runway Monitored). Any transgression towards the other runway will result in the director issuing a breakout manoeuvre (A heading and climb or descend to altitude). The autopilot must be disconnected and the instructions complied with immediately. During a PRM approach it is a requirement to have the tower on one frequency and the Director on the other.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
