Again another update to the Milviz Phantom, from here on in I post the updates and post the explanation and what they have done to the build. cool.gif

We do NOT have a P3D V2 version yet. That will have to wait until we have finished testing and wrapping the FSX version. Sorry.

Some of the fixed items:

Landing/Txy Lights not working
Slats detached multiple locations
eng oil press multiplier wrong
Missing telelights
Turn and Slip Indicator Incorrect
Front cockpit altimeter reads low between high teens and low FL200's
flap auto extension/retraction speeds too low.
SLATS IN light self illum
CDI needle now flies off gauge and onto ADI
Slat/Flap indicators are unsmooth
Intensity of canopy reflection
Incorrect texture names in the NL texture folders
Drag & Flap Animation Discontinuity (Auto Flap Retract issue)
Texture Issue Sidewinder Missiles
CDI needle behind rest of HSI

AOA now working as expected (gear MUST be down and locked)

Radios (front and rear) functional

INS working (mostly)

There are many, many more items that have been fixed, added and modified.

Note that we’re still not at the point of release nor do we have an actual manual ready.

We are, however, getting closer.

To do loadouts, please press shift 1 and then drag and drop. Note that you will have to fill your tanks manually at this time.

To do a cart start (not a cartridge start), press shift 2; Then flip all the switches up (left to right). Then, in the VC, click the engine masters up (left console beside the throttles). Then, right click the engine start switch (just above the engine masters). Wait for the engine to spool up. Then, left click the engine start switch. Wait for spool up. Turn on the generators (right hand console upper area).

It is HIGHLY recommended that you get on our forums..

I read over on the ORBX forums this is only FSX for now.
I *really* hope they sort the P3Dv2 stuff out ... I'd like to get this bird.
Just finished reading a book called "The Warbirds" by Richard Herman Jnr, which is heavily based on a fictitious US F4 squadron, the 45th.
Good read.

One superb book I have here - author Jerry Scutts "Wolfpack" , the other well worth buying is the "F-4 Phantoms Grey Ghosts" by Peter E Davies .. both superb resource and in learning.

Yes you are correct at this stage its only for fsx and p3d1.4

The p3d v2 version requires additional coding

Don't worry there will be a p3d v2 down the track, after talking to the coder a few times a week, there's some great plans for p3d v2

But they have to get the basics right before moving on to the harder new stuff

It is actually a great way to 'flick' it in a thread and follow it grow .. obviously still a lot to be done , strange even after mention that it is a WIP people then jump up and down complaining - now that is really "Flicking the Switches" ... great watching it grow and have some input.

Uninstalled the previous version and resinstalled the new update. Now it's running much better. There must have been a conflict between the 2 versions of something else was off. The Woodbourne runway seems a bit on the short side for this beast - at least when I fly it. I have landed there once successfully but think I was really too close to a stall for safety in the real world. Still it's good fun isn't it.

Haven't checked, I see the braking chutes have moved to a better storage location but haven't figured out if they are working or not.

Where did they move them to? IIRC on the real ones the brake chute was always under the tail.

There was a conflict in the model build off the last d/load, they had the brake chute packed away in the afterburn nozzle ... no wonder it smoked so well biggrin.gif

There's another update FYI gents. I haven't installed it yet but the email says that the full liveries will be available.
