These are pictures, made for the upcoming Article in the next german FS-Magazin about Port Moresby and the Kokoda Track. Often enough you have lots of pictures, but can only use a very limited number of them for that. As I have seen from other reviewers, for them is the airport of Port Moresby the first thing and Kokoda airstrip, the track, and all these airstrips, the helipad near the monumet of the killed Australians, US and native people 1942/43 they have more or less forgotten. I think, ORBX has done a good job there and it is a good thing in recognition of the history.

Think it is understandable, that you can´t find anything in german history books about the japanese Kokoda-Campaign. Losses where less then in Stalingrad or El Alamain ... but the fierce and brutal fighting in the dschungle is another thing and hopefiully we didn´t forget that lession.

Interesting at the FSX is like in reality, that you have one thing to know about such flights. It is a good idea with for such a low motorized aircraft under hot and high conditions fly only before 10 o clock in the morning. Later it is not possible to get enough power to start from such strips.in 3500...4000 ft altitude. With a newer Turbopropp-aircraft like the Pilatus Turbo Porter it is much easier.

On landingm there is another thing. The FSX is good... but whe have not the third dimension... the distance... the visibility dept. Our big friends, flying all those Nintendo stuff have a lot of things to compensate this. As a virtual bushpilot, you have nothing, and it is a little bit tricky. Think, it is not a shame for newcomers to make the aircraft "unvulnerable" for the first attempts.

Ive never been this side off PGN, one flying visit into Mount Hagen and into Wewak before heading back to Malaysia, but a lot of area's and airfields in Borneo look little better but pretty much the same.

Yes, this a correct. I am also not always happy about this. This thing makes flying in my region often not easy, because you know that, compatibility issius with products from others and with my russian freeware.
