I've more or less given up with trying to do that at 'military' run museums after the way I was treated last time I went to Wigram.

I like that Mike biggrin.gif One thing with those Gannets also ... they are friggen huge, looks like they have roped everything off as well.

Well, the Gannet is a tubby little thing, and the Grumman is a chubby little thing, but even folded up, the Firefly seems to need a bit more acreage than them biggrin.gif

I thought it was the best display in a very fine museum - mind you we are talking about a range of 98% to 100%...the worst thing is that MiG with the umpsly horrible paint job .

Very good vid. I should get that payware Sea Vixen. On that note, I managed to get the Buccaneer onto the Victorious for the first time today. Practiced at Yeovilton with the RFN gauge that gives you a meatball at the end of the runway. Then flew out to the carrier in the Western Approaches. Very gratifying experience.

Getting above the weather.

cool.gif Really was a surprise catch the Video , your screens I'm guessing the Flying Stations Buck, one I don't have, have the Scimitar tho and the Sea Vixen, they have aged but still superb fun putting on the deck.

It's actually the UKMil Buccaneer. I don't have the Flying Stations Bucc yet. It's on my list though. The only things that let down the UKMil one is that you have to know the external stores weight to add them, the catapult bridle doesn't show up and the attitude isn't right for getting off the deck.

I was going to trying the UKMil yonks back, yeah no bridals .. but it is a good take getting the aircraft on and off the deck, the Scimitar is as piece of pie .. long while back I easy stopped the Skywarrior on the Ark , shows how much more challenging the smaller Brit carriers are.

The key to getting on the pom carriers is to get the speed right. When I landed just before, I caught the 4 wire and it wasn't far from the end of the deck.

One off the biggest things is getting either the Ark Royal or Victorious working for MP's .. must be able to do it but have not looked into it , they have harden decks in AI .. Erwin Welker did a file for the Javier Fernandez USS Nimitz , I wonder if ask Erwin since he knows this stuff so well , to attack one off the two .

I can confirm that the UKMil Buccaneer can not be launched off a carrier. Might have to invest in the Flying Stations one shortly.

So I got Flying Stations S1. There are a few things I don't like. The inability to remove the pilots being one but it certainly feels like an underpowered monster.

I think the systems modeling is better on the Flying Stations one but I'd almost go as far as saying that the eye candy on the UKMil one is better. I'm going to copy the launch parameters from the Flying Stations one to the UKMil one to see if I can get off the carrier. The Flying Stations one is cool in that all the catapult bridles and everything appear and its nose wheel is off the deck. Apparently, the parts continue down the track with the aeroplane but I'm always in the cockpit for the launch so I haven't seen it.
