Look at those cars!
On this side we have a Hillman Minx variant, which I think was called a Hillman Californian. Ahead of that is one of the Ford 100E types - probably a Popular, but maybe an Anglia. Beyond that a Ford Consul, or a Zephyr if it is two-toned. Can't pick the next one, but beyond that are a couple of the earlier Ford Popular/Anglia/Prefect series.
Across the road, maybe an Austin Messenger van, based on the A55, or mebbe a Commer (first cousin to the Hillman) or possibly even the original Ford Escort. The one ahead of it could be an Austin A40 Devon (but I doubt it) and down the hill, a Humber Hawk and a Vauxhall Velox or Wyvern...
The control tower is interesting, considering that MSFS was about 30 years in the future.

Great stuff, Ian.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

What a lovely set Ian! There is nice newsreel video about the progress on one of the NZ Aviation Collection DVDs. Is there any chance you'd have a photos of the "BEFORE" state? I mean the smaller Rongotai airport that only Herons could land on. I couldn't find anything about that.
