Warbirds

I came across this clip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGfQQWOsoB8
which led to Conroy's famous Mosquito and Vampire over Auckland shot.
Based on that, my Real vs Sim entry in that month's screenshot contest hardly raised a flicker, and I remember wondering how the voting was rigged!

I agree with Ian that the Forum has munched valuable posts!
The shot in question is gone, no search I have tried will find it.

But I have a secret weapon: a virgin WIN XP, never seen the interwebby thing so no bloat, on a separate HDD with lots of FS9 installs of various flavours.
You have to do a boot config to get to it.
I went looking in these sims, and found some stuff.

Of course there is poetic licence, the aircraft are not rivet-accurate.
Actually not even remotely...
But an excuse to fly around in a formation like this couldn't be passed up.
Here we go, out of Ardmore:

These are from Photobucket as ImageShack is on the blink, so not the greatest quality sadly.

Couldn't resist unhangering the RealAir Spit, it's so good

While in this sim (it's labelled NZ Texture Mix) I pootled off to NZNS and found some history.
Yes those Cessna's and others still do ply around NZ, faithfully flying authentic routes!

Thank ye, merry Christchurch gentlemen...
I didn't find The Shot, but trawling through an old external drive found these:

Just products of de Havilland.
How about some more NZ shots in the screenshots department, eh??
