Marty - I'm keen to know what you think falls short in the visuals department (I'm in two minds as to buying it). You have a keen eye, so I value your opinion.

I know what you mean about certain aircraft from certain manufacturers ... just leaving you a tiny bit "unsatisfied" with the visuals, but often can't find a specific reason why - whereas some aircraft just ooze atmosphere and quality from the start.

I have actually seen real Mosquitoes, but many years ago. What looks wrong to me:
The nose section - too fat, under the chin, more precisely below the cannon, and rearwards. Too short, between the cockpit frame and the actual point of the nose, which creates a very snub-nosed effect.. This has led to a rear fuselage which is also less than slender.
Unfortunately, the snub-nose effect can also be created by the camo paint. But who am I to criticise?

Adam and Mike ... please dont thinking Im knocking the model , Im not.
But , if you pay money for something then I feel any or all criticism is just . My problem with this (just mine) is , that its flat ... almost a cartoon up close.
I appreciate this could be , and may well be , system specific ... I would like to have seen more reflection on the canopy for example ....and from some angles the prop texture is odd for me at least.
You know my thoughts on systems and dynamics ... so i have no input here.
I think the ONLY one among us who would have some informed input would be Gavin Conroy whom , having seen , touched , heard , and flown in the type ... is the local expert.

Up in Auckland, we got well and truly treated by the restored Mossie. It's difficult to be objective about the aircraft in RL. The sound of two Merlins at full tilt on the same aircraft is enough to turn a blind eye to anything else. To me, it looked 100% beautiful - so a sim version is going to be a really hard act to follow!

I have the Dave Garwood (freeware) model - which is good - and also the earlier JF version. For some reason I prefer the DG one - though I'm not entirely sure why! That's why I'm intrigued about this new(er) version.

Regard to the nose shape, it is smack on, of the six books used here Gavin Conroy's book 'Fighter and Bombers', other books here is the 'The Mosquito Log' Mosquito's at War, regard to the glazed nose , the tapers in to 40deg bomb aimers glazed panel, with the nose guns the it was as fool circle so the four machine guns could spread across in parallel thus the was widened, many photo's here show it to good affect between the both.

I see on SOH today, a screenie from Jens_Ole, where all the proportions look right...clearly it's the paint job and the angle of the shot creating illusions - as Ian says, the measurements are correct

I suppose I'll have to buy one now
