Teachers , Nah , slapped me around and told me "Boy .. you never be anything if you keep going like this" ... wasn't until a brother's wife for a birthday prezzy gave me a voucher to go to 'poly-tech' for a course .. early 1990s .. that turned out to be a pointless waist of time , maybe for the ones who really were trying to be , funny a two hour course on the twelve visit .. ask to draw what was on the table .. by the time I had finished , drew the entire room with him standing in it , plus the rest of the class ,

really taught me nothing, I did not get a result or idea's in those hours or why I decided to complete the entire room rather the chosen subject .. bowl of fruit and var's with a flower.

It is what you look at and how you persevere it , it those early line art drawings that show OK .. let see how much father you go .. that is talking to yourself , as I progress here scanning in other drawings you will notice the change in detail because One said to me , my perspective is out , this from a guy .. I'm now guessing , I'm his age, could not draw but gave me an idea .. I had the concept , its now to make it even more different and slow down , don't forget I am drawing in black ball point pen .

Me, it was ole SARGE punishment , ole Corp was a stroke less , I hope this is helping you - start with lines even if they are out of scale , I will scan the next change , this sort of happened in the transition to high school , still using ball point pen , a 'BIC' black pen were selling hot back then, first rule tho is pick on something your interested in and not a coping .

Truthfully , I cant give you an Answer on that one .. I only borrowed it , it had nothing I could learn from it, .... that answer would have to come from one who would / may give some reply , It would not have helped me at all since I'm already doing it .... I can't say if it would be of any help other than guiding ideas.

Completely freehand , no photo material (least copy from) simply draw it how you would like to see it .

I bet, wished I had the privilege seeing them myself. There is a guy in the Kapiti cost who can paint really nice aviation pics or any kind of transport. He mainly did ships

Wallace. W. Trickett , really cover the New Zealand maritime/merchant fleet, good to see the three , Maori Wahine and Rangatira, those three operated on the Lyttleton - Wellington run, been on board all three, course the Wahine Disaster in 1968, still remember that day (the TV reports) , the Maori was amazing to step on to, it was a visit allowed to have a look , also had an open day for the Rangatira , that stage the night sailing were going down , air travel started taking over around 1976/77 the T.E.V Rangatira left New Zealand , next time I seen the ship was during the 1982 Falklands War, it was used as part of the merchant fleet under a different name supplying troops and cargo , that would be interesting to find out.
