Kunming to Guilin-Liangjiang, Chengdu J-10A (FSX)

Postby hasegawa » Thu Sep 07, 2017 6:54 pm

This was a flight with the chinese Fighter Chengdu J-10. She has replaced all F-6 Aircraft (chinese copy of the MiG 19) and some of the FM-7 (copy of the MiG 21) . This is the first fighter of chinese design (more or less, ome sources told, that it was technology transfer and some aspects of this aircraft are from the israeli Lavi-Project) And there are similarities to the SAAB JAS 39 Gripen to... The aircraft here is an A-Model. These are with russian build engines. the same, that used the Su 27. The newer J-10B have chinese build engines.
Flown from the old airport of Kunming, that is meanwhile closed to Guilin ... to look at a new set of landclass for China.

There are many things to do. I have "flown" a partial in English labeled aircraft. Time to sort out at a complete and original chinese one. And something like the braking parachaute are not used at the moment.

Great pics - of a very attractive aircraft!

Kunming was at the far end of the "Over the Hump" route .. have you thought about entering this month's screencomp?

Thank You Adamski, good point to look at the Screen Comp... I must do it.
Yes this place was the End of the Hump and as I know at 2004 a delegation of veterans was there for a visit. Further it was the central for the AVG Flying Tigers in China after the japanese overran Burma and the 23. Air Force USAAF...

Is that the Bear Studios J-10? I have their Su-30 and J-11, but have yet to attempt porting them to P3Dv4.

Yes, she is from Bear Studios. Please have a look at the following point. There are 3 different J-10-Packages on the market.

This one with the Versions J-10A and the double-seater J-10S
This Version has russian engines.

the J-10Y is the aircraft of the national aerobatic team of the the PLAAF. Sadly the first female member of the team, Captain Yu Xu was killed in such an aircraft.

the J-10B. This is the final version with the chinese "Taihang-engine.

Thanks so much for jogging my memory! I dug out my old J-11/Su-27 archive. As it's quite an old add-on, I didn't hold out much hope for the FS2004-FSX-P3Dv4 transfer, but it works flawlessly!!

See here: Outflanked!
