Evening-Express Lydd - Paris Orly, BAF, ATL 98 Carvair

This is a typical flight of it´s time. transporting cars from the British Island to France. In the 60´s it was a job for aircraft like this to give the british snobs the chance, that they can drive his/her car in the summer weeks if they have a nice Château in France.... meanwhile most of them are in russian and arabic hands ... and these transports are gone in the middle of the 70´s.

Southend and Lydd are popular places in this time where the Carfair´s are underway...

Im not sure about some of this Just Flight stuff ... your shots are great , but ... their stuff seems a little too "clean" ...very Vanilla , as the say in the U.S.

Thank You... The Carvair is an interesting aircraft outside of the mainstream. Only 21 Examples build, but it was a symbol of it´s time. It was a conversation from surplus C-54 and DC-4....
