I wondered about this one momentarily, given the wide range of torpedo/tank/aerial attack of recent times.
Then it dawned.
You will recall we sometimes found Ianglish on the NZFF?
I suspect it is endemic to the Chch area: this was a fine example of Pinglish!
It's the literary equivalent of the Stumpy.
