Antonov LY-AHK (Aerosoft version)

Postby Adamski » Mon Jan 29, 2018 5:55 pm

Sadly, the Sibwings An-2 will never be updated to P3Dv4, so I had to re-buy the new Aerosoft version. Not quite as good as my old one, IMHO - and a little buggy w.r.t. the model lighting - but here it is: depicting the An-2 flown to NZ from Lithuania in 1995 by Neville Cameron. Sadly no longer flying, it now resides in the Transport Museum at Wanaka.

The livery can be found here.

I like the An 2. Since my childhood I have seen it often enough flying and on the ground. It is not a beauty but solid and unbreakable and STOL.

Curiously that, while the An-2 looks ungainly on the ground (and in pics), it's quite impressive when seen in the air (in RL). It has so much character!

Mind you, I'm the sort of person that likes the Airtruk, Belphegor and Wilga!!!

A great pic (and mugshot!!!).

Do you happen to have (in your photo archive) a pic that clearly shows the old Antonov logo in the same style as shown in your pic? I just couldn't find that version online anywhere!

Absolutely no rush! As you can see, I have a temporary Antonov logo in place. I'm still doing the inevitable tweaks to the repaint, so anything you can find would be greatly appreciated - as and when!
