Visuals vote to 16 because ... the plane.
Relevance (theme) vote to 14 because ...of extreme camouflage of the chopper.

:peace: Votes counted, thank you.

A tough one.

Visual: 4. What can I say I just have a thing for the blunty.

Relevance: 14

Is there a reason we moved away from the radio button type voting system?

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Running two polls was actually quite a lot of work behind the scenes (setting up all the thumbnails etc.), but the main reason was to allow comments to go with the votes. It's been discussed a few times (over the years) but I thought I'd just give it a trial last month to see if it would encourage more votes/voters. Nobody really gave any feedback, but the numbers were up, so I thought I'd give it another whirl!

Relevance (theme) vote to 14: Helifan123 because ... as above, you have to truly look for the chopper.

Visuals vote to 3 because how can it be VISUAL if it is supposed to be genuine camouflague meaning you are not supposed to be able to spot and have visual of a well camouflaged aircraft so I vote for 3 based on visual of genuine looking desert landscape.

Relevance (theme) vote to 2 because it shows genuine camouflage that is totally revelant

Well ... I usually leave my vote until last - in case there's a tie-breaker needed but I think, as we're not using the laborious in-built phpBB Polls system, a quick re-vote should be easy to do ... so ...

Visuals vote to 5: Hasegawa because it's a real stunner of a pic - regardless of the theme.
Relevance (theme) vote to 17: Splitpin. Marty always puts in tremendous pics and much as I'd dearly love to NOT give him a vote :ph43r: :D, this pic is simply awesome!

:peace: Votes counted, thank you.

Great to see so many votes coming in nice and early!

A tough choice! All seem pretty relevant to the theme considering most aircraft are in some kind of camo... So...

Visuals vote to Number: 07 Ikbenik What does it for me is the great composition, looks like it could have been shot during an A2A mission. I always love shots that look like genuine air to air images.

Relevance (theme) vote to Number: 03 Emfrat A mix of visual appeal and relevance where the aircraft shares similar colouring to the surrounding scenery, nice composition also aids in it looking like the real deal.

Not that it really matters but I reckon Jlars has a beautiful image also!!!

Visual go to No. 12

The MiG 29 from the Iranian Air Force. It is a rare picture of a meanwhile rare Bird

Relevance: go to No. 14

This is, what camouflage must do.

I agree ... and very hard to work out how to place your votes!

It's one of those occasions when I think 2nd and 3rd places should be rewarded in some way. Very rarely, we have a sponsor that puts up three prizes at once (A2A is one that springs to mind). If we can build participation in the comp, then we have a stronger case to encourage sponsors to donate runners-up prizes as well. At the moment, I feel they're all be remarkably generous for our current efforts.

Anyway - it's always a bit of a cliché, but it's not the winning that counts, Shirley? I enjoy seeing all the entries whether they win or not. Naturally (as in any endeavour) there are always going to be people that might be perceived to be "better at it" - but I enjoy seeing their talent!
