Aerofly AFS2 Rebounds

Postby Charl » Mon Jul 09, 2018 7:33 pm

IPACS have been beavering away on improvements, the changelog is long.
It inspired me to go have a look and shoot off a screen or 4.
I think it's somehow looking better than before!

Yes it is good stuff and has great potential. As a DVD user I don't mind waiting for non-Steam DLC. It would be nice if the moaners would shut up and stop demanding answers to the same demands they made last week, and the week before, and so on. How can the devs focus on their planned work if they keep getting interrupted? LM got the benefit of nearly 30 years of MSFS development and community input. AFS2 is a new sim engine, not a development of FSX, but there are users demanding that a small team produce something like P3D exactly to their requirements. (end of rant )

:hesaid:

Although as a first-time Steamer, I am very impressed with the lack of configuration pain.
You start the thing and it tells you there's something in the pipeline.
You wait a bit and it's all there, no drama.

IMHO, AFS2 lighting is everything P3D lighting should have been!

Great shot!

Charl, I know a lot of people are happy to use Steam. I just don't like the idea of unknown third parties chewing up my bandwidth whenever it amuses them to do so. After many happy years, I no longer visit CalClassic, because I am confronted by some young thug demanding that I apologise for using an AdBlocker. . It's very simple - I use ad-blocking software to stop unknown parties stealing my costly bandwidth.

Understood. I have no data cap so not an issue.
Although my copper-wire rural ADSL sometimes glows in the dark, and emits smoke (Steam?) due to the interest.
Only gripe I have is 3rd parties delay the Steam release until after they have milked the Early Adopter market.

They gave us <CTRL>-F8!
This gives a little more latitude to move the camera around.
To someone who used Walk+Follow for years, this is a tiny step forward.
But at least they move forward :)

Cheers CP... IRL that would be fairly dangerous.
The Jungmeister has just finished his waggle to starboard in the taxi, and will now turn the other way.
The photographer is down on one knee, where:
1. The pilot will not see him and
2. Where that beautiful wooden prop is about to be
Only in flightsim... :)
